My early outputs in Midjourney’s Generative AI followed the default form, a 1:1 image optimized for later expansion in the x and y vectors. Despite the potential for collections or mass variations, I process each work as ephemeral chunks removed from a whole. They can begin or continue a story, hardly ending (unless that is necessary). A boy and his dog is quite empty, giving the viewer more authorship to work out for themselves. But there are creative decisions made, even in the prompt, putting our protagonist just far enough into another time and place. Audio track added after the fact with Suno, feeling the need for cinematic atmosphere.
